CrossFit Coach

Shant Mardirossiaan is a Physiotherapist, Nutritionist, and Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach who specializes in programming and prescribing functional sport specific exercises for his patient athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and anyone fundamentally limited by disability, injury or pain. Shant has completed courses and training in Olympic Weightlifting, Powerlifting, Gymnastics, Kettlebell training, McGill Methods, Advanced Physical Therapy Exercise, and much more.

As a coach and professional, Shant has a combined total of 18 years of experience in the health care and fitness industry. He currently works at The Granite Club as a Physical Therapist and High-Performance Coach. Shant has treated and coached NCAA athletes, members of the women’s Canadian national soccer team, and nationally ranked tennis, badminton, squash, and figure skating athletes. Today, as a therapeutic and exercise specialist, Shant is motivated to excel individuals safely towards their fitness and rehabilitation goals with high quality physiotherapy and physical training.

As an athlete, Shant has been playing high level soccer since he was 4 years old. He has played at the university and provincial level. His passion for resistance training started at 11 years old in his room performing pushups and sit-ups in the hopes of improving his soccer abilities to eventually play at the professional level. Shant has always been a natural athlete excelling at various sports and forms of competition from a young age. Over the last decade, Shant has been constantly experimenting with new and evolving forms of exercise and resistance training. In the last 3 years, Shant’s newest passion has been at CrossFit AIO.  He is a Coach, floating Physiotherapist, regular participant of the advanced competitive training team, and has competed in 1 CrossFit Open and 3 team competitions with AIO.
